Anawangin Cove and Capones Island: The Hidden Paradise of Zambales

Last March 30-31, 2012, I together with my friends, finally decided to go on a adventure in Zambales. It was our first time to go there and to tell you honestly, we were not that familiarized to the place we are exactly going. But on a positive side, we felt like we were real travelers for we were able to go safely on the island. We took a ride to Zambalez for like 3 hours and then, we came 4 am in the morning and that was too early. We went on a tricycle ride for 30 minutes to reach Pundaquit beach. It was too exhausting, I think. But it turned out great when we finally reached the area.

These are the boats you can rent if you want to go island hopping and Anawangin Cove.

With my friend MJ. We were at ate Josie's house, fixing all the stuff that we will be using for two days stay in the cove.

He is Kenneth. My best travel buddy. :)

Here is the view of the Pundaquit beach. If you try to observe the island, you will definitely notice that the left part of that looks like a side-view face of a human. Isn't it? I can't exactly remember what is the name of this island but it totally made us amazed. God is great, indeed.

FINALLY. We arrived at Capones Island. I know, we were all exhausted back then because we haven't had the time to sleep well in the bus but when we finally saw the island, it made all the efforts worth it. It really is amazing and captivating when you realize, it is all God's masterpice. :)

Of course, traveling would have not been completed if there'll be no taking of pictures. So here we go, taking advantage of the white sand beach. Lol. Me and my friend Mj, really enjoyed the island hopping.

Little kids were playing.

The scenery really looks great and captivatingThe water is bluish-green. It’s  very clean.

And there you go, that was the Capones Island. I just hope that it will not be used for commercial purposes so that the beauty of this island will be preserved and to remain as it is

ANAWANGIN COVE ADVENTURE

This is the Anawangin Cove adventure. It is a camping site where you can see lots of pine trees. Fresh air.

Here are the KUYA's/MANONG's who helped us to establish our tent which will be our home for 2days/1 night. It may look like uncomfortable but we really had a good sleep inside.

MJ was fixing our things inside.

Charcoal. The traditional way of cooking. Since we were on a camping site, we had no choice but use those charcoals to cook our breakfast and lunch.

I was so lucky that I have these people who can cook and prepare our food. I was their princess. lol. By the way, these two people are HRM students, just so you know. :D

Don't laugh. Cooked rice and hotdogs.

It was just a simple brunch but I tell you, this was one of the best food I have ever eaten. I love how Mj and Kenneth cooked this grilled pork.

Preparing our food. He is the sweetest.

SWIMMING.

Did you know that I was having a severe UTI when we were in Anawangin? Now you know. Lol. Though it was very painful, I still enjoyed my stay in there.

This was my favorite shot.

Hahaha. His face :D

In the evening, we had bonfire. Drunk wine. Chatting. Sweet dance (My favorite part :”>) and slept. Though my kidney was not in good condition back then, I enjoyed a lot.  Even there was no electricity, our adventure was full of excitement and fun. Being with the closest people you have is one of the best things in life. Again, those arethe hidden paradise of zambales. I am hoping that it would be as it is even after hundreds of years.  I hope that it will be preserved and will not be used for commercial purposes. It is always more fun in the Philippines.
